Savvy Group of Professionals invites you to take summer excursion
to Rome, Florence & Venice

      Transition, Inc.--a popular New York-based organization--will be
sponsoring an exciting Italian summer excursion from
July  17 through 27,
2008.
For 10 fun-filled days, this group of like-minded, positive,
progressive-thinking professional African Americans will be sojourning to
the beautiful and historic  cities of Rome, Florence and Venice.
Founded by financial executive Ed Jackson and successful Bronx
attorney Gregory Harmon,
Transition, Inc. began in the late ‘70’s as a
professional African American social networking group whose members
were successful attorneys, teachers, accountants, educators, physicians
and other professional and progressive business people in the New York
City area. About 20 years ago, they added globetrotting to their social
activities in order to enjoy a variety of different ethnic and cultural
experiences.
Each city on the itinerary offers its own distinctive, diverse and
vibrant flavor. In Rome, “The Eternal City,” the escapade includes visits to
magnificent churches, museums, marble monuments and fountains,
including the Vatican City and famed Sistine Chapel, the Spanish Steps,
Trevi Fountain and Via Veneto, the most famous shopping street in Rome.

The tour package includes roundtrip, non-stop air travel to Italy, airport
and hotel transfers, private motorcoach transportation between cities, all
hotel accommodations, taxes and service charges, daily continental
breakfast buffets and a great deal more.
Social organizations, churches and other groups are encouraged to
attend by working with Transition, Inc. as co-sponsors, which will enable
Transition, Inc. to make a significant donation to their organization or offer
a discount to any member who travels with them.

        A shopper’s paradise awaits in
Florence, world-renown for its beautiful
leather goods, jewelry and famous
shopping outlets by the world’s most
famous Italian designers. Exploring the
finest collections of paintings and
sculptures found in the city’s beautiful
museums and galleries is also part of
the journey.
     In Venice, transportation is via
gondola through the city’s impressive
system of canals built on 120 islands.
Some of the historic sights here include
the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark’s Square
and the Byzantine Basilica, just to name
a few.
Travelers with the organization are a
generous mix of folks ranging in age
from the late-20’s to mid-50’s, about 50%
male and female, and both singles and
couples. People, sights and attractions
that encompass anything relative to the
Black experience in Italy will also be
incorporated into the itinerary.
